Legal Question in Traffic Law in Louisiana
My daughter received 36 days for not making a complete stop and demostic (has been dropped) but the Distric Attorny proceeded with the charges. She pled guilty and received 36 days. The judge said if she served the time there will be no fines but she has to appear in court. If she serves the time why would she have to go to court? I spoke with the Distric Attorny and he said that he makes the call and has made his decison. So since she is serving the time will she have to serve any more ime after her 36 days is served?

It sounds like she failed to appear in court at some time. It also sounds as if they are allowing her to serve the time instead of fines and cost. The domestic violence is the crime that carries 30 days.
