Legal Question in Traffic Law in Louisiana
My girlfriend was turning left at a green light, there was no incoming traffic from the other side. So she made the left turn onto the left lane of the street. Then someone hit her from the right side toward the rear. Who is at fault? do the person turning right on a green always right? She obviously could have turn onto the right lane of the street, but instead tried to drive onto the left lane and hit my girlfriend.

There are too many possibilities. Was the other driver signalling a right turn? Was she signalling her turn? How many lanes did each driver cross? Etc. An experienced lawyer needs to review the accident report.
In Louisiana there is comparative fault. Each could be liable for a percentage of the fault.
