Legal Question in Traffic Law in Louisiana
Hit and not Run
Hi. Someone got into a car accident recently It was their fault. They stopped to check out the damage. Damage on both cars was minimal. And the person not at fault gave an oral agreement to not call the police or insurance. Is the person at fault at a risk of any type of trouble if the other person happened to get their license plate number?

Re: Hit and not Run
It is possible, but unlikely. While it would be a classic "he said she said" situation if the police were called after the fact, logic would dictate that, if the other party wanted to make a claim or cause any trouble for the person who hit them, they would not have let them leave in the first place.
