hit and run charge
if you get in an accident and your truck is not drivable, and you walk about 600 yards to your home to get help, would a hit and run charge be the right charge?

Technically, yes. However, if you returned immediately to the scene and showed no intent to flee or to hide evidence, etc., you should have a good chance of beating the charge in court.
