Legal Question in Traffic Law in Louisiana
My husband got into a motorcycle accident (no one else involved) in Sept 2006 and was severely injured. When I met him at the hospital, he had no ticket in his personal belongings. I called Orleans Parish traffic division some time later and they said they had no record of any tickets. We just received on 2/19/11 a notice of a warrant for his arrest. How could we have paid a ticket that we never received and were told by the traffic division that it didn't exist? What are we legally able to do to fight this?
