Legal Question in Traffic Law in Louisiana
My parked car was hit in Baton Rouge, La. The lady that hit it left and came back. The problem is that State farm only wants to fix 25% of the damage she caused because there was minor prior damage. The damage she caused was 90% and the prior damage 10%. Her damage Doesnt overlap the prior damage but some is on the same panel. I want them to fix her damage. They refused so I have a Civil claim against State Farm. What should I do?

File suit. You can hire an attorney or, if the amount owed is $3,000 or less ($5,000 or less in more rural areas), file a small claims suit.
