Legal Question in Traffic Law in Louisiana

I was pulled over for speeding in the city limits, around 11:pm, coming home from friends house after going for dinner It was a nice night so I put the top down and turned the music up. I assume I passed 2 state troopers (in city limits) parked in a parking lot. They caught up to me as I turned left onto another main road. I saw the lights, I pulled over. They both pulled behind me, approached my car. Said I was speeding and I replied "I did not believe that I was going that fast". I requested that one of them show me a locked radar and none could produce it. What are my rights on this. These Troopers even posted the wrong speed limit on my ticket for the road they said I was speeding on.

You are not entitled to see the radar. You can fight the ticket in court and should bring proof of the correct speed limit. If you were speeding at all-you are still guilty. The officers can correct the mistake on the limit in testimony as mistakes on the ticket will not cause the ticket to be made invalid.

Ms. Lucas is correct about the radar. Photograph the speed limit sign. If the limit is higher than on the ticket it will, at worst, reduce your fine. If you show the photo to the appropriate prosecutor they might amend your ticket to a non-moving violation, keeping your insurance rates down.
