Can a police officer search my vehicle without my consent if I'm being arrested while pulled over for traffic tickets?

Re: Traffic ticket warrant

I believe the answer to the question is no unless there appears to be something in plain sight of the officers view from outside of a car that would give him probable cause to search the vehicle. There must be some legitimate reason for the searching of the vehicle other than you just being pulled over.
