Legal Question in Traffic Law in Louisiana
I was turning onto cypress from thomas rd heading toward warren drive. I started out in the left lane then got over to the right lane because the turning lane would be coming up soon. After checking my mirrors It looked to be a white vehicle coming at a pretty high rate of speed. So i Decided to change lanes thinking I may be rear ended . By the time on and was about 1/3 to a 1/2 way into my lane already she had whipped it into the turn lane and clipped me. The officer took her statement and did not take into consideration what I had to say. He said it was written as my fault. I had no say to even defend this was not my fault. No ticket was issued. Please Give me info..

You can contact the police department, make an appointment to see the traffic division supervisor or chief and have them make a supplemental accident report.
