Burial

I have a distant cousin who died, his remains were in the morge for almost 30 days. No one claimed his body so I wanted him to have a good burial. He is a Veteran and a good man. He told neighbors he had no children to notify. I am the only living relative that claimed him. He was very poor. He only has 560.00 cd. I want to get that to help bury him. I talked the funeral home to do the cremation half price for 700.00. The bank said i need a form from a attorney to get the cd. Please help. Thanks,

The La. Dept. of Revenue, Estate Tax section has a form for a small succession that you can fill out. It may be on their website.
