On a checking account that has no beneficiarie listed who is the heir? The account holder was legally seperated for 30 yrs, has 2 living children and one living brother? What needs to be done in order to gain access to the funds and close the account?

A succession will need to be filed. His heirs are any children he has and his spouse unless divorce judgment rendered.
