Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My dad died a few months ago and since that time my half brother and half sister kicked my mom out of the house that she lived in for 35 years. My parents had gotten into financial trouble and put the house into my half brother and half sister's name for 35,000 then my parents repaid the note, My half sister did pay the taxes and insurace but that was it. My Dad did not leave a will though he told us what he wanted and that was for my mom to live their then divide between all of us. My question is do I have any legal ground to sue for me and my sister's part? We would give our part to our Mom.

Yes you can but it may be difficult because title was never transferred back to your parents, consult a good succession attorney and bring all paperwork and your mom. A consultation usually has a minimum cost.

You should get a good attorney who will help you. I do not know what Parish the succession would be opened in or if one has been opened. However, if it is close to Calcasieu Parish I would be glad to help IF WHAT YOU SAY is true about the repayment etc. If not, then I might be able to help you find someone in your area.
