When death is the result of murder, and the beneficiary of the life insurance policy and will is sole beneficiary who inherits the life insurance and the effects of the estate? There are grown children and relatives?

First of all, the life insurance does not go into the estate unless there is no named beneficiary. If there is a named beneficiary, the beneficiary gets the proceeds without going through a succession. As for the estate, if there is a valid will then those persons named in the will get the property unless there is some prohibition. For instance, if the deceased had children under the age of 23, then those kids under age 23 have an interest in their parent's succession. If I understand your statement, you are saying that the beneficiary and the sole heir of the will is the same person. Reading between the lines.....are you saying that that sole heir is the murderer? If that is correct, then if convicted he could be denied any of the proceeds that became available because of the act of murder.
