My deceased Father inlaw did not include his land or personal property in his will. Who will get these things?

Most wills will specify a "universal" or "residual" heir, who will inherit all of the deceased property, or all property which is not otherwise doled out by the will. If that is not done, the property is doled out according to intestate rules of inheritance. Usually, the children inherit and their may be a usufruct in favor of the surviving spouse.
