You can find filed successions in the local clerk of court's office. However, I would seriously recommend that you hire an attorney. There are many traps for the unwary and uninformed when dealing with civil procedure, especially in Louisiana when it comes to divorce and successions (the areas where civilian jurisdictions vary the most from common law jurisdictions). Most attorneys will handle a simple, uncontested succession on a flat fee basis and won't charge you much to handle it.

I would certainly NOT recommend that you use any form which professes to be "good in all states." Louisiana is the only civilian jurisdiction in the US and our succession laws are vastly different from other states.

Look around this site and find an attorney in your area. Most will talk to you and quote you a price free of charge.
