Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

I am the executor of my father's will, but I do not have a death certificate yet. What is anything is to done with community property. My father was mixed up and put my brother and I as beneficiaries on some money that I believe might have been community property. He also put her name on separate property. What should I do? Appreciate any advice.

Community property is anything acquired during a marriage. Separate property can become community by donation or commingling during life or it can be given by will after death. If there is no will, the surviving spouse will get one half of community and Usufruct over all community. Separate property will be divided among the deceased's heirs.
