Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana
I am the executor of my friends will. She left me all of her belongings including the rights to her art work. She does not owe anyone any money nor did she own anything at the time of her death. How do I secure the rights to her art work? Do I need a succession? I am in the process of cataloging the art to have it copyrighten and then transferred into my name. Do I need an attorney to do the transfer and or copyright.

Yes to all the questions. A succession must be done and once you have legal title then you can hire an attorney for copyrights, etc.
