Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My father abandoned us when we were babies. He then raised 4 step-children. He has recently passed away. Are we, as his \"blood\" children entitled to any of his estate? He was a resident of Louisiana.

Yes. If you can prove he is your father, then you inherit equally if he did not have a will giving it all to others. Time is of the essence so you should move quickly.
