Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My father passed away when I was three years old, my mother signed a pre nup before she married him. So my mom didn't receive anything except his pention check until I was 18 years of age. My grandfather died almost six years ago and he had a judgement of possision filed. Stating that my twin sister and I receive my fathers inheritance and we have half the house. My grandma was put in a asst living center and has given my aunt power of attorney of her. My aunt also is living in the house that my grandparents built a few years back. Can my aunt change anything that my grandfather left us. Can she legally sell the house and not give us our share? What can I do to protect what is legally mine?

If you have a judgment of possession, that controls what you own. Your grandmother also owned half the property. Your aunt has power of attorney over her half. No real estate can be sold without everyone signing or a court order.
