Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

female marries male and they purchase home together. female has children, male does not. female dies first, male dies 1 year later. Neither had a will, and both names on the deed to the house. Male's adult neice is claiming rights to the home as only surviving relative. does the natural adult children of the female have sole rights to the house?

Female dies.....her 1/2 naked ownership goes to her children and male retains his 1/2 plus the use of the female's 1/2. Male dies. The use is returned to the female's children, so they now own 1/2 of the house. Male's 1/2 goes to his heirs.
