Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana
Does a General Power of Attorney cease and become null and void after death, or does it continue so I can handle everything that needs to be handled? I am in Louisiana.

A power of attorney ceases at death. After death the executor or administrator takes over.

I agree with Mr. Maguire.....however, an executor or administrator must be appointed by a court.
