Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My grandma died and the land she owned isn't divided. Can I move a trailer on this land without having it divided or having a deed to the land?

You need complete assent of all of the co-owners to do anything with property held in indivision. By the same token, the police won't make you leave, as it is a civil matter. They could evict you through the courts, though.

What you need to do is to file a partition of partition with the civil court to partition the property. If the land can be physically subdivided, they can do that. Otherwise, they will sell the property and divide the assets among the owners in their respective ownership shares.
