hello,my mother died in 1994,my father in1999 with no will, they left me the deed to a home in shreveport la. i live in calif.do i hve to come to the state to file succcession papers? And do i really need an atty. to do this.the property is only worth about .28,000.

The only way to have title transferred into your name would be to open your parents' successions in Louisiana.
