homeowner's insurance for family

My parents died leaving no will. There are 5 siblings and we decided to leave the furniture in the and enjoy it when we visit. iblings live in the house and he now wants to purchase a homeowner's insurance policy in his name to include the dwelling and contents. Is this a good idea and will it increase his stake in the house?

One day your family will want to not own this house. Do yourselves a favor and sell to the sibling who wants to own. Life will be simpler.
