Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My husband and I have eight children, but in our will we would like to leave our land to only one of them. So my question is can we leave our land to only one of our children? Thank you in advance for your help.

Once the children are over the age of 23 and they are not disabled, you may leave your property to anyone you wish. It will have to be by a written will.
