hi i have a ? my husbands mother has died 5 months ago.she was married to my husbands stepdad for 30 years.they had another kid toghter which makes it my husbands half brother. well now the stepdad has died last week .there was never a will discussed when his mother has died.the stepdad has raised my husband since he was about 7 years old .the half brother thinks he is intitled to everything. what are my husbands rights

Successions need to be opened. Then your husband will know his rights. It will take legal documentation of what is community property, separate property and who gets what. If there is no will where your mom gave everything to the step dad, then your H has inheritance rights. See an Attorney.
