Inherited property and marriage

After my Mother's marriage she inherited a house and land from her Father. She has been married now for 28 years. If she dies before my step-father will he and my step-brothers come in for a part of this inheritance? My sister and I heard if they have been married 21 years that he would come in for a postion of the estate.

The property is your mother's separate property. Unless she disposes of it in a will, it will be inherited by her children, regardless of how long she has been married.
