who inherits?
My mother stands to inherit property from her deceased parents. Only her and my aunt are the heirs. No succession has been done. My mother is now terminally ill. If she passes away before the succession is opened, who inherits, my father or my sister and me?

Assuming that your grandparents did not have wills, and that your mother does not have a will, then you and your sister would inherit whatever your mother inherited from her parents.
