Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana
I live with my elderly father because he is almost blind, but he is mentally competent. I have three sisters and there is currently a power of attorney on him for all of us. He wants to change it to me because i want to remodel his house because it is in disrepair, so the house would come to me when he dies. Two of the sisters are in favor but one is not. We are not in constant contact because she changes her phone numbers and doesn't give us new one. Can we remove the power of attorney without her agreement? Someone told us that because of his health, he also has a pacemaker that we couldn't change it.

As long as your father is mentally competent, he can revoke the old POA and execute a new one. The person or persons he gives POA to do not have to be part of that process.
