Living in the state of Louisiana, to donate property to someone, can an "act of donation" be done by a notary, or does that procedure have to be done by an attorney?

The donation can be done by an act prepared by a notary, but it would be wise to consult with an attorney to make sure that the donation is done correctly.

Although many people think "Louisiana Law" is some sort of mystery that cannot be unlocked without the "Napoleonic Code", it is no different than any other state. You get what you pay for. If you trust your Notary, they can do it, no problem.
