Re: living will or trusts
A living will is a document stating that you do not want to be kept on life support systems if you are in a permanent coma or vegetative state.
A living trust is a procedure in which you establish a trust, designate beneficiaries, and transfer all of your assets into the trust. At your death, your assets are distributed according to the terms of the trust.
In general, living trusts are not very effective in Louisiana. You and your spouse can control the distribution of your assets through wills.
