Louisiana inheritance, adoption of physically handicaped

I have two adopted children. One is physically handicapped, age 25 and living and cared for by the state. My 1st wife is deceased and I am remarried. Can I leave out the adopted children in my will?

The handicapped child is probably a forced heir, meaning that he would be entitled to a portion of your estate.
