Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My mom inherited 24 acres of land and sold 12 acres but I'm not sure if she sold the royalty rights. My uncle later repurchased the land and now his heirs have claimed the royalty rights. How can I find out who is entitled to roylaty rights.?

Go read the deed that she sold the 12 acres using. Normally the royalties are reserved to the seller but unless used they end in 10 years. That is just a general rule I use. So, contact the clerk of court and ask them to send you a copy of the deed. If you can visit the clerk in the parish where the land is located, go there and read it there and get a copy if you need one.
