Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My mother is one of the beneficiaries of a TOD (Transfer on Death) account established by my stepfather. The lawyers for his Will are disputing the validity of the TOD under Louisiana law. Which one is the correct distribution, the TOD or the Will? The TOD account was established in 2009 and the TOD was my stepfather's final wishes.

The TOD should control but if the will was executed after the TOD it may negate the transfer order.
