Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Mother died in Baton rouge. Left nice estate. Sister sole exuc. has refused to issue funds from estate for three years. Is this due to some statue of limitations that will restrict our ability to question her actions. Noone here knows parish law and several calls to Baton rouge attys have not been returned.

Unless there is some reason that the estate needs someone to run it, 3 years is way too long. Unless there is an ongoing business that must be administered, you should have all been placed in possession of your property. Since there could be more to your case than your short question, make an appointment with a local attorney and see what he thinks. Succession laws are different from state to state, but not so different that a local attorney would have an opinion. And he could call a Baton Rouge attorney and get a response quicker than you.
