Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Mother and father are dead property in fathers name.

there is 2 1/2 acres of land involved. There are three

surving children, can I perform a succession myself.

Yes. Any of the heirs can open the succession. It would be best if you got everyone on board, though. You could split the costs of the attorney and court costs and things would go much smoother for everyone.

I suggest you find a local attorney that you like, then invite your siblings to sit down with him or her and just talk about the estate.
