Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My mother is selling her home and is buying another in a different state. The judgement of possession states that she along with her four children are the owners. Will all five of us have to sign to sell the home here? Also, what is the best way for her to purchase the new home? Will we all have to sign since 50% of the sale would belong to the four children. We all agree we want her to have the money, but don't want her to have to pay taxes on any of it?

Yes, all of you will have to sign the sale documents. I do not know the law of the new state, but cannot see where there would be any taxes owed by anyone unless the house sells for a big profit and there are some capital gains. Otherwise, just give her the money and let her buy the new house. You will need to consult with an attorney in the new state if you think there may be a problem.
