If you are the naked owner of a CD and the usufruct dies, how can you keep the CD as is, but have the interest checks made out to the naked owners name only?

Once the usufructuary dies, the CD belongs to the naked owners, so you can do whatever you want with it. Of course, you have to get a Judgment of Possession from the court first.
