Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

I have been named executor of my grandmother's estate. All money has been removed prior to her death by my siblings. A will states that one half sibling (not technically related to decedent) is to recieve property(real estate). Remaining debts are about $20,000. Can I sell this property to satisfy any/all debts and give remainder to half sibling? Is this the proper way to render the estate? thanks in advance

All debts are to be paid frim decedent's property prior to disbursal unless the heirs agree to take the property and assume debt. They will have to pay debt prior to taking possession. You should make sure the heirs understand the value of the estate and amount of all debts.
