The executor of the estate has certain duties, particularly to carry out the terms of the will and distribute assets per the direction of the will. So, the executor should contact you if you are named in the will subject to probate. If you know who the named executor of the will is, or who has been appointed as executor in a judicial proceeding, then you should probably make contact with him or her and send a written request for notice pertaining to the probate of the estate. The fact that you may be named in the will does not mean that your current contact information, or any for that matter, is listed therein. Also, you may want to formally file a "request for notice" with the court so that you are kept in the loop of the proceedings, if any have been instituted.
