Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

The question I have is about my husband and sister in laws grandmother. She passed away in February and they were told they were included in the will since their father was the only son and he passed away years ago. They are having trouble getting any correct information. Basically they are really getting the run around. We would like to know how we could get a copy of the will since none of us live in the state were she passed away? She lived in Virginia at the time of her death and West Virginia. And what we need to do to make sure they, my husband and his sister quit getting the run around, all they really want are some straight answers from that side of the family.

If the will was probated (meaning they opened the succession with the court), the will will be filed with the court. You can get a copy from the clerk of court where the succeession was filed.
