Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana
A relative died 20 plus years ago and I have been maintaining the yard for the last 20 years. I was told at the time I would be "taken care of" when the property was settled. Now all these years later it looks like someone is going to do a succession. There was no will. The relative that told me I would be "taken care of" has since been put in a home for early alzheimer's disease. How can I get the money that is due me for all these years of service?

This will probably be an uphill battle since there was no written agreement by the property owner to pay you for lawn care.
Submit a bill to the succession representative, and see what happens.
