Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Requesting remaining money owed from dssolved Educational Trust

I am trying to obtain the remaining money left in an educational fund left to

me by my grandfather at his death ten years ago. According to my mother,

the trust that is responsible for it was dissolved last year. Shouldn't I be able

to request the total sum of remaing monies not used now that the trust has

been dissolved and not be subjected to the confines outlined therein, such as

so much per month, and only if I am a full time student etc. There is roughly

18,000.00 left. I have asked for a copy of the will and the lawyer's contact

info. that was responsible. Should I obtain counsel to help me obtain a copy

of the trust, monies owed etx. My requests are not being answered so far.

Any help would be appreciated before I seek counsel for such a small sum.

I recommend you contact the attorney who set up the trust. He would know more than anyone else.
