Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Rights to know content of will

Grandmother died 8 mos ago. Sister is executrix and does not want to share the contents of the will. Sister has said my son and I are listed in the will as recipients. What are my rights in seeing or hearing the will? How do I go about securing a copy of the will? Is there a length of time she has to take care of matters pertaining to the will?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

To handle it properly the will must be presented to the court. Probate comes from the same latin word as prove. She must prove that this is really the will and what it really says. Consult a lawyer in your area that handles these matters.
