settlements

MY father recently died and a oil company has finally settled a law suit . my brother says he is intitled to all monies leaving me & 2 other sisters out because he did more for daddy than we did is he correct? i assumed since he died we would share evenely since the property was inherited before my father married he second wife

Unless there is a will stating otherwise, the money should be equally shared. Your brother is speaking of his belief in a "moral entitlement" not a legal right.
