Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My sister wants to buy my fourth of my deceased mother's home. She says she has worked something out with my 2 brothers, as she wants to ultimately purchase the home for herself. She plans to make me an offer and if it is reasonable, I would like to accept. My siblings and I do not get along at all. Do I need an attorney to complete this transaction legally?

You don't have to have an attorney, but you will need to have a legally-binding act of sale (or other appropriate document transferring ownership) drawn up and recorded in the public records. If you know how to do all of that, you don't need a lawyer.
