Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana
My sister listed me on her bankruptcy for $15,000 15 years ago. Can I recover this from her portion of the inheritance upon death of our parents......plus interest?

If she was satisfactorily discharged in a chapter 7 bankruptcy, you can not recover. Unless you have a judgment against her that you renewed before the 10 year prescriptive period, you could not recover anyway. Money owed cannot be pursued after three years unless suit was filed and a judgment taken.
