Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana
my son (age 15) father died 10 years ago. His grandmother recently died and the family is selling the property and divideing it amoung the grandfather and the other siblings. Is my son entitled to his fathers part since his father is deceased.

He likely is entitled to a portion of the estate. There are several different variables that could effect the situation. You really need to go in and speak to an attorney face to face. Do it quickly, as you want to file the claim BEFORE the property is sold and the money distributed. Once the other heirs get the money, it may be impossible to get his share.
