If you do not leave a will and you pre-decease your spouse, the community property will be divided in two-one- half to your spouse and one-half to your children or their heirs. Your spouse will have lifetime use over all community property. If the property belonged to you and was not purchased during the community, it will be split in half -one part to your daughter and the other half split between your son's heirs.

Mandie said it pretty well. You would do well to write a will and give your property to whomever you wish.
