In the state of Louisiana, does a will have to be notarized to be legal?

Not if it is written COMPLETELY in your own handwriting. There are different kinds of wills. If a will is typed, it would have to be notarized. If you write it TOTALLY 100% by your own hand, it doesn't have to be notarized.
